  • Author branding and platform building
  • Distribution and publishing support

3. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your project
  • Deliver materials in a timely manner as agreed upon
  • Review and provide feedback within specified timeframes
  • Make payments according to the agreed schedule
  • Ensure you have the rights to all content you provide
  • Respect intellectual property rights of others

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in individual service agreements. Generally:

  • Deposits may be required before work begins
  • Final payment is due upon completion of services or as otherwise agreed
  • Late payments may incur additional fees
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis as outlined in service agreements

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your original manuscript and content. By engaging our services:

  • You grant us a license to use your content solely for the purpose of providing our services
  • You retain ownership of your book and all original content
  • We retain rights to any original designs, templates, or materials we create, unless otherwise specified in writing
  • You may not use our proprietary materials, processes, or designs for other projects without permission

6. Service Delivery and Timelines

We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. Timeline estimates are provided in good faith but are subject to:

  • Client responsiveness and feedback timing
  • Project complexity and scope changes
  • Unforeseen circumstances beyond our control
  • Revisions and approval processes

7. Revisions and Changes

Most services include a specified number of revision rounds as outlined in your service agreement. Additional revisions may incur additional fees. Scope changes requested after work has begun may result in timeline adjustments and additional charges.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation policies vary by service type:

  • You may cancel services with written notice
  • Payment for completed work is non-refundable
  • Deposits may be partially refundable depending on work completed
  • We reserve the right to cancel services for non-payment or breach of these Terms

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
  • We are not responsible for book sales, reviews, or market performance
  • We do not guarantee specific outcomes or results from marketing services

10. Confidentiality

We respect the confidentiality of your work and will not disclose your manuscript, ideas, or proprietary information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law or as necessary to provide our services.

11. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services (such as Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, distribution platforms) on your behalf. You agree to comply with the terms and conditions of these third-party services. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party platforms.

12. Disclaimers

Our services are provided "as is." We do not guarantee:

  • Specific sales numbers or market performance
  • Acceptance by publishers, agents, or platforms
  • Specific rankings, reviews, or awards
  • Error-free final products (though we strive for accuracy)

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Summit Press Media LLC, its employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your breach of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law or third-party rights
  • Content you provide that infringes on others' rights
  • Your use of our services in an unauthorized manner

14. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active clients. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
